On 30th May 2026, the Parent Orientation for Nursery, LKG and UKG was conducted, bringing together parents and the school for a morning centred on partnership and clarity.
The session opened with an introduction to the school's
vision, mission and philosophy - nurturing confident, curious, creative and
compassionate learners through inquiry-based and play-based learning. The
school management, including the Chairman Mr. Lokesh, Director Dr. Pavan Kumar
JVS and Vice Principal Ms. Christina Linnet, were introduced to the parent
community.
The curriculum framework was presented across five core areas of development - Communication and Language, Numeracy, Personal, Social and Emotional Development, Physical Development and Creative Development. The programme promotes holistic development through inquiry-based learning, hands-on experiences, storytelling, music and movement, sensory exploration and collaborative learning. Learning Domains covered include Language, Numeracy, Inquiry, Physical, Creative, Social Emotional and Life Skills, all connected through transdisciplinary themes such as Who We Are, How the World Works and Sharing the Planet.
A dedicated segment addressed age-appropriate parenting for
the 3 to 7 age group - covering four key needs: Safety, Attachment, Curiosity
and Emotional Warmth. Parents were guided on how providing a secure
environment, building strong attachment and encouraging curiosity naturally
supports communication, confidence and development at this stage.
General guidelines, the two-term assessment calendar, leave
policy, student grooming and the Parent Partnership framework were also
covered, along with an introduction to the Kindergarten teaching team.
The session concluded with clarity, questions addressed and
parents well informed for the year ahead.
