Greeting Card Making - Father’s Day

A Father’s love is forever imprinted on a child’s heart.

Dad plays a vital role in the family, shaping the lives of their children and leaving an impact on their development. A father’s guidance and support are irreplaceable, creating a strong foundation for their children to thrive. On Father’s Day students at Hegemony Global School designed some beautiful greeting cards to show their love to their fathers.

Celebration

We at Hegemony Global School, take pride especially on these days of celebration. We have continuously celebrated our parents and appreciate the whole hearted involvement of the fathers in the various activities we have in school for them. For this Father’s Day, we did not want to restrict ourselves to an E-Card wishing them and saying a few words of appreciation. With much thought we decided that the best gift to give them were the words of admiration that their own children have for them. Days ahead of this activity, we helped students to explore and find innovative ideas that they could use to make a greeting card for their father.

The Cardinal Venture

Students were asked to collect any decorative and other required materials to make greeting cards. The rest was left up to their creativity. Every child, without receiving instructions centred around this one theme “What makes my dad special”. They got some really good out of box ideas and wrote a heartfelt message for their father. From grade 1 to 10, all the students brought art works and beautiful paintings and made this greeting card making activity for Father’s Day a BIG SUCCESS.

Accomplishment

This activity provides for a safe haven for children to put to use their creativity with an amazing purpose to drive them. Not only did we boost our student’s need to explore their art skills, we did provide them a space to elaborately express their admiration of their father via a greeting card and all this done with the element of surprise that is most required. On our behalf we did wish them a very happy Father’s Day, but the true happiness came from the cards and little notes that were given to them by their children. Nothing can beat that!
