INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam Yoga is a way of life Internationally the 21st of June is solely marked to celebrate yoga since 2015 after being birthed in the United Nations General Assembly in the year 2014. Yoga is a mind and body practice that can build strength and flexibility. It may also help manage pain and reduce stress. Various styles of yoga combine physical postures, breathing techniques, and meditation. Having the origins of Yoga in India, we have adopted it into our lives only after the western influence of the same has increased. This year the theme that was adopted by India “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” a Sanskrit phrase from ancient Indian scriptures that means the whole world is one (my) family. We as the HGS family came together on this day to adopt the benefits of YOGA in one fell swoop of a Workshop.
